Vendor Custom Groups
Organize your vendor directory by category for cleaner reporting and faster analysis.
What are vendor groups?
Vendor groups are custom categories you create to organize your vendor directory. A property manager might create groups like "Cleaning Services," "Utilities," "Contractors," and "Insurance." An e-commerce business might use "Raw Materials," "Packaging," and "Logistics." Groups are flexible and defined by you.
Creating and assigning groups
Create groups from the vendor directory page by clicking "Manage Groups." Name the group and optionally set a color for visual identification. Assign vendors to groups individually from their profile or in bulk using the bulk edit feature. A vendor can belong to multiple groups.
Filtering and reporting
Filter the vendor directory by group to see only relevant vendors. Spending reports can be broken down by group, showing total spend, vendor count, and average payment size per category. Export group-level reports as CSV for accounting or board reporting.
Groups and your Business Health Score
The SKOOR AI agent uses vendor groups to detect concentration risk. If 80% of your spending goes to a single group with only one vendor, SKOOR flags the risk and suggests diversification. Balanced vendor distribution across groups is a positive signal for Pillar 3: Business Credit.
