Bulk Update Vendors

Update multiple vendor records at once. Change payment terms, groups, owners, or custom fields in a single action.

How bulk editing works

From the vendor directory, select multiple vendors using the checkboxes. Click "Bulk Edit" to open the bulk action panel. Choose the field you want to update and set the new value. The change applies to all selected vendors immediately.

Fields you can bulk update

  • Payment terms — Set Net 15, Net 30, Net 60, or custom terms across multiple vendors.
  • Vendor groups — Add or remove custom groups for selected vendors.
  • Owner assignment — Reassign vendor ownership when team members change roles or leave.
  • Custom fields — Update any custom field value across selected vendors.
  • 1099 eligibility — Mark vendors as 1099-eligible or exempt in bulk.
  • Status — Activate or deactivate vendors in bulk.

Selection shortcuts

Use filters before bulk editing to narrow your selection. Filter by group, status, payment terms, or 1099 eligibility, then select all filtered results. This makes it easy to update specific subsets of your vendor directory without manual selection.

Audit trail

Every bulk edit is logged with the user, timestamp, affected vendors, and changed values. The audit log is accessible from the vendor directory under "Activity." This is important for compliance and for your Business Health Score: clear change tracking is a governance signal that strengthens Pillar 3.
